HCA wants to hear from you about working with young children and families!

Are you a mental health provider? There are several important opportunities to make your voice heard this month.

Opportunities

Due Date Extended! Mental Health Assessment for Young Children (MHAYC) Implementation Survey: New policies collectively referred to as mental health assessment for young children (MHAYC) went into effect this year for children younger than six enrolled in Apple Health (Medicaid). The Health Care Authority is launching the MHAYC Implementation Survey to understand how organizations are implementing MHAYC policies, and what additional supports may be needed. The due date to complete this survey has been extended to Friday, November 18, 2022.

Due Date Extended! Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Clinical Records Workgroup: HCA is planning to convene an Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Clinical Records Workgroup in 2023. Infant-early childhood mental health (IECMH) providers with a deep knowledge of current WAC 246-341-0640(c) requirements, developmentally appropriate intake assessments, and best practices in IECMH services are encouraged to complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation in the workgroup by Friday, November 18, 2022.

Not a fan of surveys? HCA is also planning to schedule one-on-one phone calls with interested providers and agencies who want to share their perspective on providing infant-early childhood mental health services. If you’d be interested in talking with HCA staff, send us an email!

If you have any questions about these opportunities or would like assistance in completing the survey, please contact Kiki Fabian or Christine Cole.
