WA’s Cost Board forms new advisory committee
The Health Care Cost Transparency Board, responsible for reducing the state’s health care cost growth, recently approved the membership of its newest advisory committee: the Advisory Committee on Primary Care.
This advisory committee will develop recommendations related to the state’s 12 percent primary care spending target for the board’s review. Recommendations will include a definition of primary care and standards for reporting and measuring claims and non-claims-based spending.
Upcoming meetings
The Advisory Committee for Primary Care will hold its first meeting Wednesday, September 28. Members will discuss the role of the committee and the definition of primary care.
