June Universal Health Care Commission meeting coming up

On Thursday, June 16, the Universal Health Care Commission (UHCC) will meet on Zoom. During this meeting, the UHCC will:

  • Hear public comments
  • Listen to presentations on:
    • Strategies to Move Toward a Universal Health Care System
    • Readiness Assessment for Washington’s Preparedness to Implement Unified Health Care Financing

What’s the UHCC?

Washington State seeks to establish a universal health care system for all residents, where people have access to affordable, high-quality health care. Senate Bill 5399 passed during the 2021 legislative session, creating a Universal Health Care Commission to aid in this effort.

Yes. Your input is a crucial part of our process. Every commission meeting will have a designated time for public comment. To sign up to provide public comment, please contact us at HCAUniversalHCC@hca.wa.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15. You can also submit comments in writing at any time. We share all public comments with UHCC members.
