FCS Managers at the First Partner's Conference!

FCS Group photo

(L to R) Rayan Orbom, Dawn Miller, Kimberly Castle and Darren Paschke

The FCS Supportive Housing and Supported Employment Program Mangers - Kimberly Castle (SH-West), Rayan Orbom (SH-East), Darren Paschke (SE-West), and Dawn Miller (SE-East) - attended the Housing First Partner’s Conference in Seattle April 12-14, giving two FCS presentations: Foundational Community Supports Overview and Think that people who are homeless can’t work? Remarkable actualities. Both presentations will soon be available to view online to registered attendees. Watch for links on the conference website.

What made this event extra special is that it was the very first time all four staff were all together in person! Kimberly, Rayan, Darren, and Dawn have been working together virtually and some hadn’t yet had the opportunity to meet each other in person. They enjoyed the in-person team bonding, and the chance to share some fun together.

Public comment period for MTP waiver renewal

From Thursday, May 12 to Monday, June 13, 2022, the Health Care Authority (HCA) will hold a public comment period for the state’s Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver renewal. Washington State’s waiver is called the Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP).

We will use feedback from the public comment period to refine the renewal application, which we’ll be submitting to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) this summer.

During the public comment period, May 12-June 13, you can provide your feedback:
