Universal Health Care Commission meeting on Friday
On Friday, February 25, the Universal Health Care Commission (UHCC) will meet on Zoom. During this meeting, the UHCC will:
- Hear public comment
- Hear a presentation on Washington’s coverage and the impacts of COVID-19
- Discuss and finalize the charter
- Learn more about the Health Care Cost Transparency Board

What’s the UHCC?
Washington State seeks to establish a universal health care system for all residents, where people have access to affordable, high-quality health care. Senate Bill 5399 passed during the 2021 legislative session, creating a Universal Health Care Commission to aid in this effort. View our roster.

Yes. Your input is a crucial part of the UHCC process. Every commission meeting will have a designated time for public comment. If you would like to let us know in advance you’ll be speaking, please contact us at HCAUniversalHCC@hca.wa.gov by 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, February 24. You can also submit comments in writing at any time.
