New spoken language services
The Health Care Authority’s (HCA) interpreter services team has been working hard to develop a new spoken language contract to provide over the phone and video remote interpreting services. The contract is anticipated to go live in Spring 2022.
The contract will assist Apple Health (Medicaid) healthcare providers in meeting their Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 responsibility to provide language access services to their clients. The HCA interpreter service program requirements and rules will apply to this new contract.
