Billing webinars: For mental health assessments in young children

During the 2021 legislative session, 2SHB1325 was signed into law. The bill aligns Apple Health (Medicaid) requirements with the best clinical practices for mental health assessments for children ages birth through age five. The Health Care Authority (HCA) will launch new guidance regarding billing and encounters under these new policies. HCA invites you to keep reading to learn about the upcoming learning opportunities to support agencies and providers in applying these new policies into their practice.

HCA will provide a webinar on updates to the Mental Health Billing Guide and the Service Encounter Reporting Instructions (SERI) to mental health assessments for young children.

The webinar is available to all Apple Health mental health clinicians and allied professionals. HCA will host a follow-up office hour to support agencies and providers in applying these new policies into their practice.
