We’re updating our universal health care topics in GovDelivery

The Health Care Authority (HCA) added an additional topic to GovDelivery: the Universal Health Care Commission.

We are also removing the Universal Health Care Work Group topic. The work group completed its work and submitted a final report to the Legislature in January 2021. As a result, we will not be sending any further communications.

If you are currently subscribed to the Universal Health Care Work Group topic, you will be unsubscribed. (If you subscribe to other GovDelivery topics, you will continue to receive those announcements.)

What you need to do

To receive announcements about our upcoming Universal Health Care Commission work, subscribe to this topic. You can do this at any time.

More about the commission

The purpose of the Universal Health Care Commission is to:

  • Make the health care system more accessible by increasing access to quality, affordable health care.
  • Prepare the state for the creation of a health care system that provides coverage and access for all Washington residents:
    • Through a unified financing system.
    • Once the federal government approves this new health care system.
