Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Alert

Attention providers:

The Health Care Authority (HCA) has revised the Mental Health Services Billing Guide effective September 1, 2021.

What has changed?

Notable changes include:

The reorganization of Parts I and III to improve clarity and to expand on billing information for Part III services
The inclusion of licensed mental health practitioners (LMHPs) and Psychiatric Ph.Ds. as eligible providers for CPT® code +99355
The discontinuation of EPA #870001207 and the sections of the guide effected by this change
The addition of modifier U8 to HCPCS code T1041
