Apple Health and COFA islanders

When a Compact of Free Association (COFA) islander is found eligible for Apple Health (Medicaid), they will receive a letter in the mail with a link to a booklet that shares important information about how to use their new coverage. Paper copies of the Welcome to Washington Apple Health benefits and services booklet may be requested. Their Apple Health plan will also send plan specific information that should be kept for future reference.

Can the COFA card be used for Apple Health?

No, the COFA card or Navia card can only be used to pay outstanding bills generated during the time an individual had COFA Islander Health Care and COFA Islander Dental Care. One benefit of having Apple Health is that there are no co-payments, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses.
