Foundational Community Supports presents: Practical ways to work with people with Substance Use Disorder

This webinar will focus on engaging people with SUD based on the person’s level of readiness and how to use harm reduction. Harm reduction incorporates a spectrum of strategies that includes safer use, managed use, abstinence, meeting people who use drugs “where they’re at, " and addressing conditions of use along with the use itself. We will utilize some instructional training and case studies to practice stage-based interventions.

Participants will learn:

  • How to engage people with SUD.
  • Principles of harm reduction.
  • How to utilize stage-based interventions.
