The Heath Care Authority is sending you this mini-series notification on behalf of our partners at the University of Washington and the Washington State Department of Health.

What is happening?

The Clinical STD Update mini-series is a two 1/2-day didactic series which provides registered participants with training in the most recent advancements in epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of viral and bacterial STDs. CME/CNE is offered for this class.

Register for the mini-series

Pre-enrollment by October 26th is required. Participants are expected to attend both days.

What is covered?

  • CDC STD Treatment Guidelines – updates/highlights
  • Syphilis: Epidemiology and Clinical Presentations
  • Syphilis: Treatment
  • Update on Chlamydia
  • Taking a Sexual History
  • Update on Gonorrhea

Course participants will learn how to:

  • Describe the latest clinical and lab diagnostic and testing procedures for the infections covered.
  • List the current recommended treatments, follow-up, and prevention messages for the infections covered.
