Washington State director of Medicaid receives Randy Revel award

MaryAnne L

MaryAnne Lindeblad, Washington State Director of Medicaid received the Randy Revell award at this year’s Foundational Community Supports conference. MaryAnne believes that supported employment is a fundamental social determinant of health. MaryAnne is a force in the health care world. She has experience working in acute care, long-term care, behavioral health care, eldercare, and services for people with disabilities.

Individuals with behavioral health conditions are often overlooked for employment. The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model focuses on the strengths, skills, and talents of individuals with behavioral health issues. The IPS model Gives people purpose, hope, income, and structure. MaryAnne brings the message that hope and recovery can happen to her role as the Medicaid director. She has given the Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program full attention and moved administrative barriers to support its success. She promotes FCS on a national platform and is worthy of receiving the same acknowledgment that Randy Revel stood for in his long tenure.
