Healthier Washington will hold the second of three public forums on September 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Better Health Together Philanthropy Center, 1020 West Riverside Avenue, Spokane, WA, 99201 (map).

This event is open to the public and registration is not required. Children are welcome with adult supervision, and light snacks will be provided.

For those who cannot attend in person, a webinar will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. October 4. Register for this webinar.

Transformation leaders from the Health Care Authority (HCA) and the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will present the 90 minute program, which will include time for public comments and conversation.

The Medicaid Transformation is a five-year project, based on an agreement between Washington State and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The agreement provides up to $1.1 billion in federal investment funding for regional health system transformation projects that benefit Apple Health (Medicaid) clients. The project began in January 2017 and will end December 31, 2021. Successful outcomes are supporting the state's general health systems improvements that will benefit all Washington residents.
