The Medicaid
Transformation is a five-year project, based on an agreement between Washington
State and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The
agreement provides up to $1.1 billion in federal investment funding for
regional health system transformation projects that benefit Apple Health
(Medicaid) clients. The project began in January 2017 and will end December 31,
2021. Successful outcomes are supporting the state's general health systems
improvements that will benefit all Washington residents.
