Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Alert
Effective
for claims with dates of service on and after July 1, 2018, Washington Apple Health
(Medicaid), administered by the Health Care Authority, has updated the
Fee-for-Service (FFS) Preferred Drug List (PDL). This is an update to the July 1, 2018, list published earlier in June
2018.
The
agency made the following additional changes to the FFS PDL:
Analygesics
– Opioid: Long Acting- Agonist
The
agency struck hydromorphone ER* from the Preferred Drugs List and
moved oxycodone ER* to the Nonpreferred Drugs List.
Analygesics:
Migraine Agents – 5-HT1 Agonists
The
agency struck naratriptan HCl from the Nonpreferred Drugs List.
Psychotherapeutic and Neurological Agents –
MISC:
ADHD/Anti-Narcolepsy – Stimulants – Amphetamines
The agency moved methamphetamine to the
Nonpreferred Drugs List and added PA required.
