Apple Health - ALS transports - Trip report/run sheets are not required

Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Alert

On July 25, 2017, the Health Care Authority (the agency) sent out a Provider Alert announcing a new requirement that, effective September 1, ambulance providers must submit a trip report/run sheet with each claim for Advanced Life Support (ALS) level transports.

After further review and feedback, the agency is not going to require trip reports/run sheets for ALS transports at this time.

Note:  The requirements for payment at an ALS level have not changed. See the agency’s Ambulance and ITA Transportation Billing Guide and WAC 182-546-0450 for the requirements for an ALS transport.
