Not all those who wander are lost: Guest speaker Art Wang and a historical perspective ANHPI legislation Washington state
We’re excited to welcome Art Wang as our guest speaker for the February 11 HAPPEN General Membership Meeting. Art has had a remarkable career in public service, serving in all three branches of Washington State government—as a state legislator, appellate court judge, and Chief Administrative Law Judge.
His journey began in Tacoma as a Volunteers In Service to America, VISTA, volunteer with Tacoma Community House and grew into decades of leadership in law, education, and community service. Even in retirement, Art remains actively engaged—serving on advisory boards for the Asian Pacific Cultural Center and Chinese Reconciliation Project and leading bird walks with the Tahoma Bird Alliance.
Art will be sharing “Not all those who wander are lost,” a thoughtful and personal look at the history of ANAPI legislation in Washington State and what it reveals about leadership, service, and community impact.
