SB 6055, titled AN ACT Relating to firearms background check, has been introduced in the Senate. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Projected cash receipts are indeterminate as the fee for performing background checks in connection with firearms transfers can be adjusted as necessary, to an amount reasonably calculated to cover the direct and indirect costs incurred in administering the firearm background check program.
