In the May 27, 2025 communication, we shared that more information about assignment and premium pays would come out in a separate communication. This email includes that information.
Assignment and Premium pays will be treated as they have been in years past where OFM will automate as much as possible. When possible, assignment and premium pay updates will create new basic pay records. Existing wage types are being modified, and new wage types are being created for payments. Additional communications, including details of all wage type changes, will be sent as details are finalized. See the 2025-27 Premium and Assistance Pay Changes for more information. Changes must still be adopted in the June Director’s Meeting.
