It is time once again for a change in HAPPEN leadership.
First, our Executive Sponsor, Nicholas Vann, is handing off leadership to two new Co-Executive Sponsors, Kennly Asato, Commerce (COM), and Denise Ross, Puget Sound Partnership (PSP) to lead us into the future. Nick sends his gratitude for the support he has received and shares the following message:
“After an incredible journey as HAPPEN’s inaugural executive sponsor, I am stepping back and making space for new leadership. I’m so proud of what we’ve built together, and even more excited for what’s ahead with Denise and Kennly taking on these new leadership responsibilities. I have total confidence in their heart, vision, and commitment to keep pushing forward HAPPEN’s mission.”
The current and past Executive Leadership Team thank Nick for his guidance and leadership and wish him the best in his next adventure.
Second, with Kennly's new responsibilities, she is stepping down from the Mentorship Lead position. We are accepting nominations and will hold a special election at a later date.
Join us during the next general membership meeting to hear from our candidates.
It is time to elect the following positions:
- Co-chair (2 positions*)
- Communications Coordinator*
- Leadership Development
- Policy
Brief bios and photos of nominees and position descriptions can be found on the HAPPEN website. Voting will close at 11:59 pm on Saturday, May 31. Votes cast after that time will not count.
HAPPEN members (as defined in Article IV, Section I in our bylaws) may vote by completing this survey one time.
*We did not have anyone accept nomination for the second Co-chair and Communication Coordinator positions. We are also accepting nominations for the Mentorship Lead vacancy mentioned above. Please feel free to nominate someone. We will reach out to them to confirm acceptance or decline and hold a special election should they accept.
