ESHB 1385, titled AN ACT Relating to the fingerprint background check on national child protection act and volunteers for children's act program, has been passed by the Senate Committee on Human Services. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

There is an indeterminate cash receipt impact to WSP, as the background checks that are completed under the NCPA/VCA are currently being conducted per the PL 92-544. WSP assumes this legislation would not change the number of checks being completed.
