SB 5494, titled AN ACT Relating to lead-based paint program capacity improvements, has been scheduled for a public hearing by the Senate Committee on Ways & Means.

The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:




Department of Commerce:
The new schedule will be determined following the first year of rulemaking. Associated revenue is indeterminate until the fee schedule is established. Commerce has established the draft fee schedule below to estimate potential revenue:
•           Renovation, Repair, Painting fee - $300 every five years
•           Lead Based Paint Activity - $180 every three years
 
Based on the draft fee schedule above, Commerce anticipates the following revenue: 
FY 2027 - $706,015
FY 2028 - $720,136
