HAPPEN Leadership Development Series Launches TODAY
 Join us virtually for the new 2025 Leadership and Career Development series launching January 15, 2025, as we welcome guest panelists, Rob Bamba (OFM Talent Acquisition Specialist) and George DeGuzman (HR Analyst)!
Rob's areas of focus include full cycle recruiting, consultation of rules and policies mitigating risks and guidance on best practices, and career coaching. George's specialties include data analytics, surveys and exit interviews, and HRMS reporting.
When: from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, 3rd Wednesday of each month, January - June 2025

Stop AAPI Hate: Reports
- Key findings:
- Nearly half (49%) of AAPIs surveyed experienced a hate act in 2023 due to their race, ethnicity, or nationality.
- Experiencing hate acts negatively impacts AAPI communities in multifaceted ways.
- Despite the persistence of hate, there is continued underreporting and a glaring gap between support needed and received.
- The vast majority of AAPIs are primed to take action against racism.
- Recommendations (Policymakers):
- Prevent and address hate beyond hate crimes, including institutional discrimination
- Invest in data equity and AAPI organizations

- Speak up and report hate
- Connect with local community organizations

Representing over 100 countries and more than 50 communities makes it difficult to stay apprised of everything HAPPENing related to our collective community. - Time sensitive items submitted will be reviewed and included in the next bulletin.
- Non-time sensitive submissions will be added to the list to be included in future bulletins when we may be looking for content to share.
- Bulletins will usually be distributed on Mondays. Special bulletins will be sent only as needed to provide an update on something already shared or of an urgent nature.
