UPDATE: The 10 year analysis for 2SSB 5598, titled AN ACT Relating to the funding of legalized horse racing and the recreational use of horses in Washington state, has been completed. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Section 1 authorizes WHRC to impose fees to ensure compliance with federal Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act (HISA).  The Horse Racing Commission currently

has no plans to levy fees under this statute.
