E2SHB 1216 AMS WM S2963.2, titled AN ACT Relating to clean energy siting, has been introduced in the House of Representatives. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

Department of Natural Resources:

DNR may see an increase in clean energy project leases, however, amount of increase and associated revenues are unable to be determined at this time.

Department of Ecology:

Ecology assumes we would enter into cost reimbursement agreements with project proponents to cover costs in carrying out permitting processes as specified in section 208. Future cost reimbursement agreements are unknown; therefore, the cash receipts are indeterminate (General Fund Private/Local).

Ten-year projection prepared in consultation with the following agencies:

Department of Ecology
Department of Natural Resources
Department of Commerce

This engrossed bill is proposed by the House of Representatives.
