"In the two years since eight people were killed in Atlanta area spas, advocates have stepped up to help the victim’ families navigate the complex legal system.”
When a community experiences pain, it is oftentimes the events that take place afterwards that can further contribute to trauma as loved ones process their grief as they go through the law enforcement and legal proceedings that wasn’t necessarily designed for their understanding. This is why representation is so important in our fight for justice. We encourage you to read more and learn how attorney’s like Taylor Lin are instrumental in bridging the gap in facilitating these discussions with families and the complex legal process.

A Message from Make Us Visible:
"Thank you to the many of you who attended last Saturday’s launch event for Make Us Visible Washington, whether in person or via livestream! We had a full house and the community turned out in force! While the program ran longer than expected, all stayed present and engaged to the end! Some of you traveled from Spokane, Yakima, and Olympia, because you believe in the importance of the inclusion of our history and stories in Washington K-12 schools. We are so inspired by your attendance and hope that the speakers resonated with you to begin advocating in your own schools and communities! We also had some coverage on Q13, which you can find here."
For anyone wanting to develop their own narrative about why inclusive history is important to you and your community, MUV will host two narrative workshops on the dates and times below. Please email makeusvisiblewa@gmail.com to indicate which workshop you would like to attend, and they will send you the Zoom link information.
