UPDATE: The 10 year analysis for HB 1647, titled AN ACT Relating to creating keep Washington evergreen special license plates, has been completed. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of
increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

This bill creates a special license plate and establishes fees of $40 for an original, $30 for a renewed plate and establishes the distribution of those fees. If this bill becomes law, it will allow vehicle owners the option to choose a new type of specialty license plate for their vehicle in lieu of the standard issue plate. There is no information available, and it is not known how many of these new specialty plates might be purchased. The total revenue impact is indeterminate.
