RAIN Presents: Dr. Marcus Anthony Hunter discussion and celebration of Black History Month
The RAIN employee business resource group will be hosting a special guest speaker to celebrate Black History Month. Dr. Marcus Anthony Hunter is the Scott Waugh endowed chair in the Division of the Social Sciences and Professor of Sociology and African American Studies at UCLA, coined the term #BlackLivesMatter, and author of four books. His research, activism and commentary have been featured in various journals, social media platforms, and news media. Join us in having a conversation with Dr. Hunter as he discusses the quest for systemic racial equality in America.

Department of Corrections is hiring for a Transgender Medical Specialist (Physician 3)
The Department of Corrections Health Services Division is seeking a highly motivated and professional candidate to take on the newly established role of Transgender Medical Specialist (Physician 3). The work performed will be done at various correctional facilities and will utilize telehealth, a new telecommunication and digital communication technology.
The Transgender Medical Specialist under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, will primarily direct and coordinate medical care provided to transgender incarcerated individuals statewide. The role requires collaboration and coordination with the Transgender Health Navigator regarding the implementation of the ongoing systems approach for the provision of healthcare related to gender dysphoria and transgender individuals. The ability to use positive-solving skills is imperative to maintain professional relationships with not only the transgender individuals, but co-workers as well.
