ADVISORY: Inslee to visit Whatcom County Tuesday

Gov. Jay Inslee will travel to Whatcom County tomorrow. The governor will first visit Whatcom Community College to talk with students, faculty, college leadership and industry partners about their cybersecurity program. The college was recently awarded the Advanced Technological Education grant making them the National Training & Education Center for cybersecurity education.

Inslee will then tour the Northwest Laboratory to see their testing operations and learn about their work of increasing COVID-19 testing capacity.

The governor will next visit the site of the City of Bellingham's new Gardenview Tiny House Village. The project helps provide shelter and services for people experiencing homelessness.

Inslee will end the day visiting the Whatcom County Crisis Stabilization Center and discuss the support the new facility provides to behavioral health needs of the community.

**All media interested in covering the governor's stops must RSVP with the governor's office by 8:30 AM Tuesday. Only media who have RSVP'd will receive more details and be permitted to attend.*
