HB 1399, titled AN ACT Relating to reducing barriers to professional licensure for individuals with previous criminal convictions, has been scheduled for a public hearing by the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions, Economic Development
& Trade.
Date and Time: 03/18/2021 8:00AM (Subject to change by the Legislature.)
Location: , Virtual, ,
The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.
Ten-year projection:
Department of Licensing:
Section 2 subsection (7) allows DOL to collect new application fees, not to exceed 100 dollars to offset administrative costs. The assumed affected programs are all 100% license fee supported. A fee increase, equal to the costs contained in the expenditure section of this fiscal note, will be required to implement this legislation.
This bill could result in more licenses being issued, but it is unknown how many. Additionally, potential increased revenues would vary due to the number of types of licenses and associated fees. Therefore, the revenue impact of this proposed legislation would be indeterminate.
Ten-year projection prepared in consultation with the following agencies:
Department of Licensing
