Notice of Introduction for House Bill 1252 - Update: 10 Year Analysis Completed

HB 1252, titled AN ACT Relating to creating Mount St. Helens special license plates, has been introduced in the House of Representatives. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

There is no tax or fee impact to DOC associated with this bill.

Department of Licensing:

If this bill becomes law it would allow vehicle owners the option to choose a new type of specialty license plate for their vehicle in lieu of the standard issue plate.  There is no information available and it is not known how many of these new specialty plates might be purchased.  The total revenue impact is indeterminate.  The fees over and above standard issue plates for this specialty plate are: $40 for original plates and $30 for renewal plate tabs.
