Online Learning Resources for State Employees - Keeping WA Engaged, Working, and Learning during COVID 19 - FYI
Office of the Governor / Office of Financial Management sent this bulletin at 05/28/2020 10:30 AM PDTGood day, I hope you had a great extended weekend and took some time to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. Here is the weekly refresh to the Online Learning Resources for Workforce Development webpage.
And some updates…
- How are your Microsoft Outlook skills? Whether you are fairly new to Outlook or a seasoned pro, we have a number of tutorials that will teach you something new to increase your efficiency. These are available under the Technical learning pathway.
- Last week we rolled out a new learning pathway for virtual training that is designed to provide agency trainers with information to help them deliver better virtual training. This week under that learning pathway there is a link to register for a webinar that discusses Zoom fatigue and how to overcome that in your design. There is also an article that details cognitive overload and how to avoid it when designing e-Learning. If you aren’t sure what cognitive overload is…read the article to learn about it.
- There are a number of free webinars in the live webinar schedule that you may sign up for. Agency trainers may be interested in the “Tips on How to Lead Engaging Trainings on Zoom.” The first of two webinars takes place this coming Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
- We have a number of offerings under the General Leadership learning pathway and the Self-leadership learning pathway that provide information on emotions in the workplace. How do you build emotional safety at work? Turn to these two learning pathways to learn more.
Have a great week,
