SSB 6613, titled AN ACT Relating to the inspection of marine aquatic farming locations, has been scheduled for a public hearing by the House Committee on Rural Development, Agriculture, & Natural Resources.

The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Department of Fish and Wildlife:

Section 1 directs WDFW to recover the actual costs incurred for required inspections of marine aquatic farming locations. The Department estimates an annual fee of $7,600 for each farming location, but the actual fee setting is subject to the outcomes of the public rulemaking process and therefore, cash receipts are indeterminate.
