SHB 1668, titled AN ACT Relating to creating the Washington health corps to support health care professionals who provide service in underserved communities, has been passed by the Senate Committee on Higher Education & Workforce Development.
The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.
Ten-year projection:
Equalization fees as described in Section 11 are indeterminate, as they are dependent on appropriations for the conditional scholarships, the number of awardees who breach their service obligation and the interest rate to be determined by WSAC.
The Department of Health will not collect any revenue.
