SSB 5328, titled AN ACT Relating to driver's license suspensions and revocations, has been passed by the Senate Committee on Law & Justice. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased
cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Cash receipt impact is indeterminate.
This bill would revise the current $20 legislative assessment, directing $10.50 to be deposited as follows: $6.50 (previously $8.00) to the General Fund and $4.00 to the Driver Licensing Technology Support Account. This would result in a reduction of revenue to the General Fund and an increase to the newly created Driver Licensing Technology Account.
This bill would add a $2.00 assessment to each traffic infraction that would be deposited into the newly created Driver Licensing Technology Support Account.
