2SSB 5308, titled AN ACT Relating to performance-based contracting services by energy service contractors, has been passed by the Senate. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

This legislation authorizes a fee increase to incorporate the cost of the activities in Section 2.  The Department of Enterprise Services currently conduct a review of energy service contractors on a biennial basis, therefore, no fee increase would be needed.
