2SSB 6203, titled AN ACT Relating to reducing carbon pollution by investing in rural economic development and a clean energy economy, has been passed by the Senate Committee on Ways & Means. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Cash receipts are reported on Department of Revenue’s fiscal note.

 

WDFW will not be collecting the new revenue established in this bill, therefore shows no cash receipts.

 

 

 

The carbon pollution tax established by section 102 of this bill would be collected by the Department of Revenue. There would be no new cash receipts to Ecology.

 

 

 

The UW would not collect a tax or fee under this bill.

 

The Department of Health does not collect the Carbon Pollution tax; therefore, there are no cash receipts.

 

It is indeterminate on the participation rate, those who file an attestation and receive a waive on fees identified in the bill, as this is a new program.

 

 

The department does not collect fees as a result of this bill.

 

The State Auditor's Office is not responsible for collecting taxes or fees as outlined in I-960.
