SHB 2734, titled AN ACT Relating to eliminating certain tax preferences not being used and recommended for repeal as determined by the joint legislative audit and review committee, has been passed by the House Committee on Technology & Economic Development. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

This bill eliminates certain tax preferences not being used as determined by the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC).

Section 1 repeals the energy conservation or production from renewable resources deduction allowed in RCW 82.16.055.

This bill has an effective date of 90 days after the final adjournment of the legislative session.

This legislation results in no revenue impact to taxes administered by the Department of Revenue (Department).  No taxpayers are currently taking these tax preferences or deductions.
