HB 2983, titled AN ACT Relating to the establishment of a new marine pilotage tariff setting process, has been introduced in the House of Representatives. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

No section of the bill describes a source of funding or cash receipts for services.

The agency is unsure if the tariffs will change when this bill goes into effect. If the Utilities and Transportation Commission changes the tariff and increases the fees there would be an increase in cash receipts for the Board of Pilotage, if the Utility and Transportation Commission decreases the fees there would be a decrease in cash receipts for the agency.
