SB 6519, titled AN ACT Relating to revising the establishment of marine pilotage tariffs, has been introduced in the Senate. The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

This bill authorizes the Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) to periodically establish pilotage tariffs to be collected by the Board of Pilotage Commissioners.
These tariffs may be increased or decreased depending on the UTC’s rulemaking process; therefore, the total ten-year cost to fee payers is indeterminate.
