SHB 2381, titled AN ACT Relating to allowing certain adult family homes to increase capacity to eight beds, has been scheduled for a public hearing by the House Committee on Appropriations.

The Office of Financial Management has identified this bill as requiring a ten-year projection of increased cost to the taxpayers or affected fee payers.

Ten-year projection:

Section 3 of SHB 2381 – The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) shall charge an applicant requesting to increase the bed capacity at an Adult Family Home (AFH) to seven or eight beds a fee of $453 per home.  The Cash Receipts are indeterminate as it is unknown how many AFHs will request to expand bed capacity to seven/eight beds.
