About this Opportunity:
The Child Support Schedule Workgroup meets every four years with the goal to create reasonable child support orders for families by reviewing economic and child support data and adjusting income rules. You can make a difference in how child support works in our state. Several recommendations made by the 2019 workgroup became law, including a reduction in how many hours are required for full-time work based upon real-world realities for working parents.
They are looking for parents who receive child support and parents who pay support.
The workgroup will meet monthly starting in January 2023 through August 2023.
Monthly meetings from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (meeting dates to be determined)
Additional subcommittee meetings (around two hours each month)
Online and in-person meeting options
DSHS will cover travel and other costs to participate.
The workgroup will make reasonable accommodations available to participants who request them.
Applications are being accepted now. Review of applications will begin on Oct. 1, 2022.
