Hanford workers recently completed a project to clear an unauthorized storage area of waste containers. Outdoor Storage Area A held containers of transuranic mixed waste since 2008 as it awaited processing, treatment, or disposal. Efforts over the past few years have cleared this area of nearly 450 containers to properly categorize and store them. This work met an interim milestone set by the Tri-Party Agreement.
