November 2025 Quarterly Update
What we're working on
Ecology is currently reviewing the comments we received on the preliminary draft rules during the informal comment period that ran from June 16 to August 15, 2025. We are revising the preliminary draft rules based on feedback.
What's happening: virtual open houses and sounding board meetings
We are holding a series of monthly virtual open houses on Zoom through December. These open houses are for anyone who would like to come and ask questions or offer feedback about the draft rules. Here are the schedule and registration link for the remaining open houses:

Monday, November 17, at 6 pm (please note the date change, which was previously Nov. 18)

Tuesday, December 16, at 6 pm
We resumed the local government sounding board meetings in October. These meetings are open to the public and include time for public input. The final meeting will be on December 15 at 1 pm.
What comes next
Once the rules are revised, we will prepare the formal drafts (called the CR-102) for filing. We expect to file the CR-102 in spring of 2026, at which time we will kick off a formal comment period.
