Ecology’s next virtual public meetings for the Cap-and-Invest offsets rulemaking are on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024. A general public meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and an Environmental Justice Listening Session will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The two meetings will cover the same information but have different focuses for input. In the public meeting we will be collecting general input on the draft rule language and in the Environmental Justice Listening Session we will be collecting input on potential environmental justice impacts of this rulemaking for Tribal communities, communities of color, low-income communities, and other communities who face multiple, combined environmental harms or health impacts.
Register for either meeting or review the draft rule language using the buttons below. The draft rule language for the meetings is available on our rulemaking webpage. We encourage attendees to review the draft rule language before the meeting if possible.
