Reminder: Formaldehyde-releasing chemicals rulemaking webinar

During today’s webinar, we’ll discuss rulemaking to develop Chapter 173-339 WAC – Cosmetic Products Restrictions, a rule that restricts formaldehyde-releasing chemicals in cosmetic products. We will present the preliminary draft rule, answer your questions, and listen to your feedback. Your feedback will help us write the formal draft rule, which we intend to propose later this year.

Review and comment on our efforts to implement the Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act (TFCA) and preliminary draft rule requirements for the cosmetics rulemaking. We would like to hear from manufacturers, the public, cosmetologists, and cosmetic businesses, associations, and organizations. Your comments will help inform our implementation efforts and development of the formal draft rule.
