Cannabis Laboratory Accreditation Rule Development
Ecology is withdrawing the CR-101 announcement for the cannabis laboratory rulemaking, filed as WSR# 23-13-116 on June 21, 2023. RCW 43.21A.736 and RCW 69.50.348 directed the transfer of accreditation authority for cannabis laboratories from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to Ecology on July 1, 2024. The 2024 Legislature passed House Bill 2151 on February 28, 2024; this bill amends RCW 69.50.348 to transfer authority for accreditation of cannabis laboratories from the Department of Ecology to the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
