We are excited to share the phased launch approach of HRSN benefits within DDA!

What is Health Related Social Needs?
- The HRSN program is an Apple Health (Medicaid) benefit that is focused on housing stability, nutrition, home safety, and caregiver support so people can have improved health outcomes and ultimately remain in their homes and communities of choice.
- Phased launch approach to the HRSN Benefits:
- Rent/Temporary Housing: Rent and/or short-term temporary stays for up to six months (launches July 1)
- Nutrition Supports: Nutrition education, Nutrition counseling, Pantry Stocking, Short- Term Grocery provisions, Fruit and Vegetable provisions, and Medically Tailored Meals (launches this summer)
- Home Accessibility, Remediation, and Adaptation Devices: Environmental accessibility, remediation and adaptation and services provide physical changes to a home to improve access, and/or health and safety (launches this summer)
- Caregiver Support Services: Intermittent temporary supervision and care giver support to unpaid caregivers (launches fall/winter)
- We have hired 3 Case Resource Managers to authorize services (1 for each region)
- We have hired a DDA HRSN Training Specialist
- Sign up for trainings to learn more. Trainings will be posted in the Learning Center soon. Use “DSHS DDCS HRSN Field Staff Training” to search and select a training.

- Thursday, 6/18 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
- Wednesday, 6/24 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

- Wednesday, 6/17 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
