 Access and Understand Your Own Information
Under the Client Rights law passed in 2020, everyone who receives services from the Developmental Disabilities Administration has the right to access their health care and service information. This includes the person-centered service plan. In this episode of our Client Rights series, Ivanova Smith interviews people with lived experience about:
- The importance of understanding and signing a person-centered service plan.
- Having access to all the information in your plan.
- The right to make changes if the information is old, or you don’t need or want to share it.
