Rulemaking Notices
Effective May 1, 2025, Developmental Disabilities Administration moved under Home and Community Living Administration. The former Developmental Disabilities Administration is known as Developmental Disabilities Community Service Division within the Home and Community Living Administration.
The following rulemaking notices have been filed with the Office of the Code Reviser and will appear in the Washington State Register.
Rule Adoption Order (CR-103P)
WSR 25-23-045 on Chapter 388-848 WAC
The Developmental Disabilities Community Services Division of the Home and Community Living Administration is adopting new sections of rule to implement Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill 5440 (2023), which directs DSHS to develop a process for connecting individuals who have been found not competent to stand trial due to an intellectual or developmental disability to available wraparound services and supports in community-based settings. DDCS has previously submitted emergency rules to cover the initial implementation of the services and is seeking to make the full Chapter 388-848 WAC permanent.
